Duck Shooting

Duck shooting pond

Yes, it's that time of year again. It's the first weekend of May. Are we all ready to open this year's duck shooting season with a bang? I sure know I am. I hope you have been feeding up your ponds and cleaning your guns for a wicked duck shooting season. All you have to do is have everything ready to go, like guns, ammo, shooting licence - that's if you're not a land owner that is. If you don't know how to get started or don't know how to make a good simple mia mia, just take a look at the rest of my website. This is a picture of a pond with a mai-mai

Following are some guidelines you should follow:
1. Treat every firearm as loaded. Check every firearm yourself. Pass or accept only an open or unloaded firearm.
2. Point firearms in a safe direction or unloaded. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
3. Load a firearm only when ready to fire. Load only the magazine after you reach your shooting area. Load the chamber only when ready to shoot. Completely unload before leaving the shooting area.
4. Identify your target - make sure you know what it is before you shoot.
