About the Restaurant

The Paua Barn Restaurant is in the middle of getting built but will be completed by the end of this year. We expect we will be ready to open in 2011. This restaurant is going to be good for people living Kaikoura and tourists visiting Kaikoura. It is going to demonstrate the traditional Maori culture style of food. This has always been a dream of my granddad - to be able to build a restaurant like this in Kaikoura. He has talked about it constantly until he finally put his words into action. It is going to be really good for our family. We will be able to work under one roof together, even though sometimes it is unbearable to live together but we are sure to manage!
